Chester High School Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and Comwell welcome Zion "Z" Givens to CHS for an assembly Thursday, October 22nd. Zion is a dynamic national speaker, teen mental health expert, and substance use prevention educator. His assembly will include an interactive student presentation tackling teen anxiety, stress, and mental wellness with humor and real stories that are sure to impact the entire student body.
CHS SADD Y COMWELL PRESENTAN A ZION GIVENS
The Chester High School Trapshooting Team has been awarded 51 cases of Winchester 12-gauge target load ammunition through a generous grant from the NRA Foundation. This award will allow our student-athletes to participate without having to bear the burden of ever-increasing ammunition costs.
The team's account currently covers the cost of practice targets at Mississippi Valley Gun Club, an NRA-affiliated club that has generously allowed the team to use its facilities for practices. With the assistance of the district, the team's account also covers competition entry fees. Through district support, fundraising efforts, and the generosity of our sponsors, nearly all costs associated with participating in the sport have been eliminated for our students. The team plans to apply for additional support from the NRA Foundation in the coming year.
On behalf of the Chester High School Athletic Program, our student-athletes, and their families, we extend our sincere gratitude to the district, the NRA Foundation, Mississippi Valley Gun Club, and our sponsors for their generous support and for helping make these opportunities possible for our students.

CHS BEFORE SCHOOL & AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING
Chester High School is expanding our existing After School Tutoring Program to include Before School Tutoring as well. We understand that many students have obligations immediately after the school day and may find it difficult to schedule time to make up tests or quizzes, receive help with coursework, or complete other academic responsibilities. The addition of a morning tutoring session will provide another valuable opportunity for students to receive the support they need to work toward their academic goals.
The morning session will begin in the Professor Sharp Cafeteria. As additional students arrive for breakfast, tutoring may relocate to Room B115 (Mrs. Hankins) as needed.
Our After School Tutoring Program will continue as in previous years, providing students with an important opportunity for additional academic support and assistance. The afterschool program has transportation available upon request.
Tuesdays and Thursdays
Before School: 7:00–7:55 a.m.
Professor Sharp Cafeteria, relocating to B115 as needed
After School: 3:10–4:10 p.m.
